SmARt Home is an exercise of imagination, wondering how life would be if we could live the whole day in AR. We believe that AR will change radically the way we work, our free time, and even the way we have our relationships. Thus, this project aims to be a part of the life of Gilberto, a Portuguese Musician living in Milan. He loves his profession as a musician and teaching at the university. At the same time, he loves social media, IoT, and all new technologies only in the beginning.

The SmARt Home is a Cross-platform application creating a new living experience. It is customized for Gilberto's needs but can also be customized for different people with different tastes and demands. Gilberto is a single-man musician with a peculiar taste for Jazz, Bossa Nova and Classic Music, especially Debussy. As he lives in a small home, the Augmented Reality Technology allows him to augment his apartment's space.

Therefore, there are two possible technologies, the Optical AR and the Video AR. The optical works projecting interactions directly into the user´s eyes, while the video demands a screen to access the interactions. Here, we explore both technologies for Gilberto´s needs. One for reading, another for practicing the Piano, and one last for his albums. Enjoy it.
